Terms And Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to all services provided by Danni Reading Makeup Artist and Celebrant. By booking services, clients agree to the following terms. For any questions, please contact me directly.
1. MAKEUP SERVICES
1.1 Services and Fees
Services
Professional makeup for weddings (bride and bridal party), special occasions, and professional/editorial photoshoots.
Makeup consultations and trials are available upon request.
Fees
Consultations: £90 per person, plus travel. The bride typically requires a consultation; others (mothers, bridesmaids) may choose to have one.
Wedding Day: £120 for the bride, £90 per bridal party member, plus travel. A minimum of four individuals is required for a wedding booking, up to a maximum of eight (time permitting). Larger parties may be accommodated with additional assistants.
Special Occasion and Editorial/Photoshoot: Quoted on a case-by-case basis, depending on complexity and number of individuals involved.
Payment
Consultation fees are due in full upon booking to secure the wedding date.
No further deposit is required until confirming the booking at the consultation. At that point, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.
The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the event date.
Accepted payment methods and details will be discussed during the booking process.
1.2 Expectations
Deadlines
Consultation scheduling is flexible; midweek daytimes typically have greater availability, though some weekend and evening slots may be offered.
Any specific deadlines or date changes must be communicated as early as possible.
Client Requests
Specific makeup styles or techniques should be discussed during the consultation or trial.
Any additional requests (e.g., extra bridal party members, changes in schedule) should be made in writing whenever possible.
Allergies and Health Concerns
Clients must inform me of any known allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to the makeup application.
While all products used are high quality, I am not liable for any adverse reactions unless caused by negligence on my part.
1.3 Protection
Compensation
The fees outlined above constitute compensation for all agreed-upon makeup services. Any extra services requested on the day may incur additional costs, subject to mutual agreement.
Changes
Both parties may propose changes to the agreement (e.g., number of bridal party members, revised schedule), provided they are confirmed in writing.
Substantial changes (e.g., drastically altering the booking date) may require a new agreement or incur additional fees.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt an amicable resolution before seeking legal remedies.
If legal action becomes necessary, proceedings will take place under the jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
1.4 Other Considerations
Right to Refuse or Cancel: I reserve the right to refuse service or cancel a booking for any reasonable cause (e.g., late or non-payment, inappropriate conduct). If I cancel a booking, any fees paid (excluding non-refundable deposits if canceled due to client breach) will be refunded.
Right to Amend Specifications: I may need to alter product selections or techniques if circumstances require (e.g., product shortages, unforeseen changes in schedule). Any such changes will be communicated promptly.
Travel Expenses: All travel-related costs (e.g., mileage, parking fees) will be calculated based on the postcodes provided and added to the final invoice, unless otherwise stated.
2. CELEBRANCY SERVICES
2.1 Services and Fees
Services
Weddings, Vow Renewals, and Naming Ceremonies. Bespoke celebrancy services designed to reflect each couple’s or family’s personality and preferences.
Creation of a personalised script, with multiple reviews to ensure the ceremony feels truly meaningful.
Guidance on ceremony structure, wording, and optional rituals, plus friendly communication throughout the planning process.
Fees
Standard Ceremony: £650 plus travel
Vow Writing: £150
Ceremony Rehearsal: £100 plus travel
Payment
A non-refundable deposit (holding fee) is required to secure the date.
The remaining amount, including any travel costs, must be paid at least 30 days prior to the ceremony.
Any extra requests outside the standard scope (e.g., extensive script changes, special props) may incur further fees, which will be discussed in advance.
2.2 Expectations
Deadlines
Once any required questionnaires are returned and the deposit is received, a First Draft of the ceremony script will be provided within 6 weeks.
Second Draft will be provided within 2 weeks of receiving the client’s amendments.
Final revisions and presentation of the wedding or naming script will occur within a reasonable timeframe before the ceremony.
Client Requests
Clients are encouraged to communicate any preferences regarding ceremony style, rituals, or wording.
Vow writing assistance and ritual ideas are part of the complimentary services included in the ceremony package.
Allergies and Health Concerns
If special accommodations are required for accessibility or comfort during the ceremony, this should be discussed during the initial consultation.
While not typically applicable to celebrancy, any relevant health or safety considerations should be disclosed to ensure a smooth ceremony.
2.3 Protection
Compensation
The agreed-upon fees represent fair compensation for script creation, multiple revisions, and officiation services.
Any additional services or significant last-minute changes may result in an adjusted fee, subject to agreement between parties.
Changes
Changes to the ceremony date, venue, or significant ceremony elements require written notice and may lead to adjustments in pricing or scheduling.
Both parties must agree to any major revisions to the original agreement.
Dispute Resolution
In the unlikely event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt a resolution through communication before taking legal measures.
Legal proceedings, if required, will take place under the jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
2.4 Other Considerations
Right to Refuse or Cancel: I reserve the right to cancel if payment deadlines are not met, or if circumstances make it impossible to proceed. Any fees paid (excluding non-refundable deposits) will be refunded in the event of a cancellation by me, unless caused by client breach.
Right to Amend Specifications: I may adapt ceremony elements if necessary (e.g., timing changes, unforeseen logistical constraints), with client agreement.
Travel Expenses: Travel costs are included in the final fee, unless otherwise specified. If additional travel or accommodation becomes necessary (e.g., changed venue), it will be discussed and agreed upon in writing.
Final Notes
These Terms and Conditions ensure clarity and fairness for both parties. Any queries should be addressed before finalising a booking.
By proceeding with a booking or inquiry, clients acknowledge acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
